Platform limits
What the API does not do yet, so that you can plan around it. This page changes as each limit is lifted.
| Area | Today | Work around it |
|---|---|---|
| Webhooks | Unsigned, one attempt, end of call only | A token in the URL, a re-read of the call, a scheduled catch-up |
| Transcripts | One text block, no timestamps per turn | Split on line breaks |
| Latency | No latency metrics per call | |
| Calls and entities | No entity field or filter on calls | Filter by the entity's agents; the webhook has entity |
| Contacts | No endpoint to list or read contacts | Store contact.id from the webhook |
| Agents | No version history; voiceId is not returned; no voice or model catalogue endpoint | Duplicate before a change; pick voices in the dashboard |
| Campaigns | No calling window; calls per second set on the trunk, in the dashboard | Schedule isActive on your side |
| Inbound context | No pre-call webhook | Update the contact before the call |
| Telephony | Twilio connection and SIP inbound details in the dashboard only | Phone numbers page |
| Transfers | Warm transfer and a number looked up by your service are not on every agent yet; holdMusic and the human detection settings of forwardCall are accepted but not applied | Try a transfer on a test call |
| Tools | The requests to a custom tool and to a transfer lookup are unsigned, and apiTimeout is not applied on every agent | A token in the URL; answer within a few seconds |
| Live calls | No live listening or barge-in | |
| Team | No seat management in the API or the dashboard | Write to support@callshift.ai |
